San Elijo Hills, CA – The First Annual Kids & Critters for a Cause will be held Sunday, October 17 in San Elijo Hills at the Albertsons in downtown San Elijo Hills from 1-4 p.m. Everyone is invited to join in the fun and make a difference in our community.
Dress up your kids and pets for a treasure hunt at local businesses, a bouncy castle for little ones, and kids and pets costume contests and a complimentary Halloween portrait session. Be entertained by a live performance by the San Elijo Middle School band.
Donations and proceeds will benefit both the Rancho Coastal Humane Society and the San Elijo Middle School.
This year San Diego’s animals are in more need than ever as many have been abandoned due to economic pressures on their human families. So, Kids & Critters for a Cause has teamed up with the Rancho Coastal Humane Society who are celebrating their 50th Anniversary this year. The RCHS is located in Encinitas and serves all of Southern California. They are a non-profit organization who care for North San Diego County’s needy companion animal population.
Also come out to support the San Elijo Hills Middle School, which is currently collecting donations to support the much-needed upgrades to their performing arts center. With the community’s support at this event, the sponsors hope to make a substantial contribution that will assist the middle school with their endeavor.
Lanni Insurance, San Elijo Hills’ premier insurance team, teams up with BlueFlair Photography to bring out the Halloween and charitable spirit of San Elijo Hills’ wonderful residents.
Our Halloween Spectre-tacular will include a complimentary 5×7 portrait for any children, pets or families dressed in the Halloween spirit, and will be taken and presented at the event in exchange for a donation of an item from the charities desired item list, which will be going up in windows around town center.
There will be a costume contest for the best-dressed kids and critters with prizes awarded from local businesses and for kids of all ages a town center scavenger hunt to participating local storefronts. Any local business interested in participating is encouraged to call Lauren Lanni of Lanni Insurance at 760.815.7563.
To join in the fun, drop your donations off at the main booth and receive a card good for your free portrait, entry form for the costume contest and trick-or-treat treasure map.
Other Autumn-themed activities are expected to be announced as the date draws closer. Kids and Critters for a Cause is dedicated to providing relief to local charities through business sponsorship and participation. Find them on Facebook: Kids & Critters For A Cause.
