You may have noticed when walking by or stopping in that our office – formerly nice but definitely not set up to accommodate three people and several clients at once – has been transformed into a lovely winter-palated Parisian boutique office with appropriate furniture for our needs and a Parisienne theme. We worked with one of our favorite people to design our new look – Janet Parise of AliKatz Design helped design, painted, chose furniture, decorated, created and refinished furniture for the office.
We couldn’t have done it without her. All we had to do is tell Janet an idea and she immediately knew our sense of style and exactly what we had envisioned. She created two gorgeous His and Hers magnetic chalkboards for us with two ornate antique frames I found at my favorite consignment store and refinished and reupholstered an old Amish chair I got there as well. Now, it’s a chic black and white boutique secretary’s chair that fits perfectly in our Parisian office.
With a huge nightscape of Paris on the wall of the powder bath and a whimsical crystal and gold chandelier, and gold and silver accents our black and white office was complete and set off nicely by the new French Silver wall color.
It was finished in the nick of time for our Grand Opening; Janet was there at 9 o’clock the night before and 9 o’clock the morning of – touching up paint and adding last minute decorative touches. If you have a decorating or refinishing need in San Elijo Hills, Janet Parise of AliKatz Design is the person to see.
